Soloist Requirements

In the event that an Annual Ice Revue is held, all skaters who are eligible for solos must meet the following requirements:​
  • Must be a Gold level member.
  • Must meet and fulfill the volunteer requirements. 
  • Must satisfy the test and ice booking requirements of one of the two soloist levels listed below.
  • ​Must be a member in good standing with US Figure Skating.
Full Solo Requirements

Tests Passed to be eligible: 
  • Preliminary Moves in the Field and Preliminary Freestyle OR
  • Preliminary Moves in the Field and Pre-Bronze Dance OR
  • Preliminary Moves in the Field and Preliminary Figure OR
  • Preliminary Moves in the Field and Learn to Skate USA program level Freestyle 6 (axel optional)
  • Tests must be passed by December 31, 2022

Ice Booking Requirements:
  • TWO Freestyle sessions or 120 minutes of SNHSC programming (does not include Simply in Synch participation) per week.
  • Ice must be booked from October 1, 2022 (or the time SNHSC programming starts again thereafter) through March 31, 2023.  Walk-ons do not count towards soloist booking requirement. 

Other Requirements:
  • Soloists are not eligible for Learn to Skate discounts when booked in conjunction with the Annual Ice Revue practice sessions.
  • Skaters eligible for a solo will complete the necessary application as distributed by the show director and will meet the necessary volunteer requirements.
  • This requirement can only be achieved by taking US Figure Skating tests in front of US Figure Skating judges.  Skaters have a full calendar year to attempt the test.    
Bridge Solo Requirements

Tests Passed to be eligible: 
  • Pre-preliminary Moves in the Field and Pre-preliminary Freestyle
  • Tests must be passed by December 31, 2022

Ice Booking Requirements: 
  • ONE Freestyle session or 100 minutes of SNHSC programming (does not include Simply in Synch participation) per week.
  • Ice must be booked from October 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023.  Walk-ons do not count towards soloist booking requirement. 

Other Requirements:
  • Once a skater has been a Bridge Soloist, they will have to achieve the Full Soloist requirements to be considered for a solo in subsequent years.
  • Soloists are not eligible for Learn to Skate discounts when booked in conjunction with the Annual Ice Revue practice sessions. 
  • The length of the Bridge Solo will be determined by the needs of the Show Director; roles may be shared (i.e. one skater performs in the afternoon show, and another performs in the evening).
