Joining the Club

The Southern New Hampshire Skating Club (SNHSC), US Figure Skating Member Club #2145, is dedicated to promoting the sport of figure skating through encouraging the instruction, practice and advancement of it's members in all types of figure skating; encouraging and cultivating a spirit of fraternity among it's members; producing and/or sponsoring test sessions, exhibitions, shows, etc... Membership in the SNHSC runs concurrently with and requires USFSA membership status; July through June. (Please see membership definitions below.)

New Membership Process

The SNHSC membership committee shall present to the Board of Directors all applications and renewals to be voted upon. Once membership in the SNHSC is approved, notification will be forwarded to you with a schedule of available ice times for contracting. SNHSC will the process the USFS enrollment. When your USFS membership card is received by the club it will be forwarded to you.

SNHSC Membership Categories

Home Club Member

The Home Club is the Club that issues the USFSA registration card to you, and shall be the Club represented when testing. All test candidates, competitors and guests of other clubs must be a member in good standing of their Home Club, and have approval from the Test Chairman or a Club Official, to participate in USFSA sanctioned events. SNHSC Home Club Member Status is a requirement for soloist eligibility in the SNHSC annual ice show.

SNHSC Primary Membership

Available to all. The primary member is entitled to participate on club ice and in club activities. The primary member shall receive a copy of the SNHSC By-Laws, club ice schedules and applications as well as other club correspondence such as newsletters, announcements, etc.. The SNHSC will issue or renew USFSA's registration number for it's "Home Club" members. In addition, Home Club Members shall receive USFS's "Skating" Magazine and "Official USFS Rulebook". The primary member is entitled to vote on all ballot issues. (If the member is under 18, the parent/guardian will be the voting representative for the member. The parent/guardian representative may not reserve ice or accrue seniority under his/her child's membership). The SNHSC will issue one (1) subsequent membership for each primary member, under 18 years of age and living with their parent/guardian, to the parent/guardian signing the application. This is to promote family participation and help increase our representation with ruling bodies such as USFS, City Officials, etc.

SNHSC Subsequent Membership

Each family member living in the same household as an SNHSC Primary Member in good standing may apply for Subsequent Membership with the SNHSC. The Subsequent Member is entitled to participate on club ice and in club activities. The Subsequent Member is entitled to vote on all ballot issues. (If the member is under 18, the parent/guardian will be the voting representative for the member. The parent/guardian representative may not reserve ice or accrue seniority under his/her child's membership). The SNHSC will issue or renew USFS's registration number for it's "Home Club" Subsequent Members. USFSA's "Skating" Magazine, "Official USFSA Rulebook", club ice schedules and applications, and all other club correspondence such as newsletters, announcements, etc., shall not be provided to Subsequent Members. Copying of all SNHSC material is permitted. A copy of the SNHSC By-Laws will be provided to each Subsequent Member who provides a written request for one. The "Official USFSA Rulebook" may be purchased at club cost plus postage and handling if requested in writing. Contact the membership committee for current pricing.
